“EVERYONE DESERVES MENTOR - A PERSON WHO IS WILLING TO BE ( T )HERE NO MATTER WHAT.”
Since launching The MENtour in August 2012, I’ve watched it grow from a small afterschool pilot into a globally recognized men’s health and well-being charity—a multinational 501(c)(3) with a mission that reaches far beyond what I first imagined.
It all started with a simple goal: teaching emotional literacy and leadership to BIPOC middle school boys. But as we worked with these young men, a deeper truth surfaced—one I couldn’t ignore.
Men everywhere, from all walks of life—regardless of status, background, or beliefs—were wrestling with the same struggles. And it wasn’t just the students. The very men stepping up to mentor and support their communities were silently battling their own crises of identity, intimacy, and integrity. They were guiding others while carrying wounds of their own, in desperate need of the same healing they were trying to offer.
That realization reshaped everything. The MENtour became more than a program; it became a movement—one designed not just for the next generation, but for every man ready to reclaim his well-being, his relationships, and his place in the world.
In response, I partnered with passionate local leaders, and together, we dug deep into the social systems that shape men’s lives. We didn’t just create programs—we designed intentional spaces where mentor and mentee could experience emotional restoration and personal growth.
Over time, experience taught us what we had long felt to be true: the issue wasn’t just individual, it was structural—woven into the very fabric of society. For generations, men have been kept from fully maturing emotionally, gaining mental clarity, and developing a strong moral compass.
Since 2012, our work has taken us to 70+ campuses and impacted tens of thousands of adolescent and adult men worldwide. And we’re just getting started.
